CLIENT OVERVIEW
Leading telecommunications provider in Austria and Eastern Europe, with products and services in telephony, broadband internet, Ai, IoT, data, apps, smart home, and other diverse IT solutions.
SCOPE OF WORK
We design and develop tailored automation solutions, for the following client’s business units:
- BUC (Business Unit Consumer)
- BUE (Business Unit Enterprise)
- CFO (Chief Finance Officer)
- CTO (Chief Technology Office)
- Finance
- Human Resources
We conduct RPA training/mentoring programs for the client’s CoE and several business units.
OUR ENGAGEMENT
Since 2017, we have created a culture of trust and collaboration driving automation at scale. Our agile teams work closely forming seamless workflows which have led to recognized and rewarded results for the client and us.
In 2017, Elba Technologies started a POC (Proof of Concept) with a leading European Telco provider (25+ million customers) to enable digital transformation through RPA.
Our team of business analysts, process consultants, IT architects, and software engineers, joined the client’s vision to become a digitized and automation-enhanced organization.
Jointly with the client, our team:
- Demonstrated the value and capabilities of RPA in several awareness sessions for numerous business stakeholders,
- Conducted process analysis and identified automation opportunities in the respective business process areas,
- Supported the client in building business cases and prioritizing each of the identified automation opportunities,
- Conducted technical readiness workshops and supported the setting-up of necessary IT platforms including security and IAM considerations,
- Implemented the pilot project and moved the implementation into production,
- Created the necessary documentation (e.g. process handbooks, solution designs, operational handbooks, etc.)
After a successful pilot, we have built an automation program consisting of a CoE (Center of Excellence), an automation framework supported by state-of-the-art automation technologies accompanied by communication and management of change program. After three years, we have accomplished the automation of around 150 processes, we have established the CoE as an enterprise-wide accepted organization directing and guiding the automation initiatives in our client’s organization.

CREATING
We initialized the automation journey through a small-scale proof of concept which established the knowledge, architecture and mechanisms to industrialize the RPA Center of Excellence.
CO-DEVELOPING
We are continuing to implement RPA processes at speed and scale, with an integrated team of client internal, Elba Technologies and third-party professionals. We evolved from a waterfall to a fully agile approach, applying Scrum across multiple squads and the end-to-end RPA lifecycle from process discovery through implementation to operations.
ENABLING
Our team not only advised the client on technology platforms, governance framework, and methodologies but also offered training and mentoring to business and technical roles, enabling them to be an active part of the automation journey.
